My Background/h2>
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I’m currently a student in Northwestern’s JD-MBA program. Before returning to school last fall, I worked at a start-up consulting firm first in Silicon Valley, where I advised early-stage high-tech and life sciences companies, and then at a global consulting firm in Boston, where I advised Fortune 500 firms on larger-scale strategic and human capital initiatives. Doing so, I have extensive experience working with Board members and executives, helping them execute on their high performance strategy and to push forward the CEO’s agenda. Also, last summer, I also worked at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. I have longer-term interests in public service.
ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE
In addition to my consulting experience, I’ve also really enjoyed working in entrepreneurial environments. In Silicon Valley, I worked alongside the CEO of an Internet start-up and helped develop the firm’s online marketing strategy. Today the firm is a leader in its niche space. I also collaborated with a partner at a start-up investment bank. I helped analyze industry sectors, put together compelling presentations, and ultimately helped drum up new business for the firm. I also spent time helping a small business owner get his business up and running and get the word out in the community. And finally, I enjoyed working in a really entrepreneurial role at Top Five, where I not only worked with entrepreneurial clients as a consultant but I also spent a large part of my time in a business development role, where I reached out to dozens and dozens of businesses nationally to build relationships for the firm.
EDUCATION
BA Stanford University
MBA Kellogg School of Management (Candidate) (JD-MBA program)
JD Northwestern Law (Candidate) (JD-MBA program)
OTHER
Among a long list of professional activities and organizations I try to stay involved in, I currently sit on the careers and admissions committees at Northwestern and the JD-MBA Student Association. I’ve been working on careers and admissions issues for many years now. Before Northwestern, I did so as a Chair Board member for the Stanford Club of New England and before that I was active in California. I look forward to sharing my information and experiences here for those who are interested and for those who might really need it. And hopefully I’ll be able to make a little difference along the way.
